Question: q: macbook pro (early 2011) battery. i just got my 15 inch quad core macbook pro in the mail. i quickly calibrated the battery and fully charged it. i picked up one last friday and have been playing with it over the weekend after calibrating the battery. so far i've had no battery issues with it. the estimated time will jump all. In my case, my early 2011 (macbook pro 8,2) battery had over 1,300 cycles and the swollen battery was pressing against the trackpad rendering it basically useless. purchased a 3rd party battery off owc for $99 , arrived 3 days later and magic.. Image what happened to my macbook pro early 2011 battery life ? i never use my battery regularly and most of the time my macbook pro is plugged. 80+ cycles and my battery health already 77%..
